A retrofitted punk rock version of old hollywood glam!
I wanted to challenge the basis of gender-normative sex appeal with what we are told is deemed attractive for binary gender roles, by applying my non-binary, gender neutral approach and aesthetic to recognisable, iconic and classic sex symbols from old Hollywood.
What would I have done if I had been transported back in time to days gone by? How would I reinvent Hollywood to include the LGBTQIA+ community? From icons such as Mae West to Betty Boop - and even James Dean - no celebrity was safe...
